Mark di Suvero is an internationally acclaimed artist who resides in Astoria, Queens. His studio, Spacetime CC, is located next to the Socrates Sculpture Park, a former illegal dumpsite that he helped turn into an open exhibition space. More information on Mark di Suvero: Spacetime CC, Socrates Sculpture Park, Wikipedia, Paris Review.
We have chartered a bus to bring everyone to Mark di Suvero's studio for an informal tour and Q&A with the artist. The bus will depart promptly at 3.30pm from the Jerome L Greene Science Center to his studio.
Please meet in the lobby of JLG between 3.15-3.30pm.
After dinner, attendees should make their own way back to Manhattan, we recommend taking the ferry (a few minutes' walk from the studio) to 34th street, then a taxi back to the hotel.
